The 2024 ASCE/APWA Alabama Summer Meeting returns to the Perdido Beach Resort again with a 3-day format and expanded program!
We are putting together an exciting program that covers a wide range of Civil Engineering and Public Works topics. We are now accepting speaker proposals for multiple sessions occurring over 3 days: Wednesday afternoon (July 10), Thursday morning (July 11) and Friday morning (July 12).
Call for Speakers
If you are interested in sharing your knowledge, experience or vision with these professionals, we are now accepting speaker proposals for multiple sessions that will occur over the course of this 3-day event.

Resort Lodging

A credit card and first night’s room and tax will be required to guarantee the reservation. PLEASE NOTE: Any special requests in regard to sleeping rooms are based on availability at time of arrival.
Rates quoted are based on single and double occupancy. Add ten dollars ($10.00) per room night for each additional adult in room.
The above rates do not include the thirteen percent (13%) (subject to change) state and local taxes.
Group rates apply only to the specific room block and upgrade rates as noted above, and will be made available three days prior to (Sunday, July 7 to Tuesday, July 9, 2024) and three days following (Saturday, July 13 to Monday, July 15, 2024) the event based upon space and rate availability at the time the reservation is confirmed. However, should the three days pre- or post-convention include a special event or holiday, the hotel reserves the right of decision to honor or not honor the group rate.
Cutoff Date: The Perdido Beach Resort will accept reservations, provided there are available rooms at the resort until Friday, June 7, 2024, at which time any unreserved rooms will be released into general availability. The group rate will no longer be available after the cutoff date.
Individual Cancellations: Cancellations must be made a full five (5) days before scheduled arrival; otherwise, one night’s room and tax will be charged to the credit card on file.
Additional Hotel Lodging
For your convenience, we have also secured an overflow room block at the Hilton Garden Inn Orange Beach. Reservations must be made on an individual basis online or by phone. Please see details below for a link to the reservation website and phone number. A credit card and first night’s room and tax will be required to guarantee the reservation.
