Important Updates

• REGISTRATION: Registration is now open with early bird pricing ending on Friday, June 6th! We have moved registration to a new platform called Eventify, which also has an app available on iPhone and Android for a new user experience this year.

• SPONSORS AND EXHIBITORS: We have revised some of our sponsor and exhibitor options to help your company get the most out of the conference.

• AGENDA: The 3-day agenda is filling up with two separate tracks for a variety of great topics! The Call for Speakers will remain open for another week or two for interested speakers to submit their proposals.

• CONFERENCE ACTIVITIES: The Opening Reception will be held on Thursday, July 17, in the Exhibit Hall. The “Port Royal Boil” Dinner Gathering is planned for Friday, July 18, at the Orange Beach Event Center. These events have grown over the last couple years to include entertainment for both adults and kids. Let us know how many people you are coming with so we can prepare.

• The ASCE Mobile Branch will be hosting another Younger Member Track on the afternoon of Friday, July 18.

• LODGING: The guest room block at the Spring Hill Suites at the Wharf still has rooms available from 7/17-7/20, but rooms for 7/16 have sold out. Reservations must be made by June 16 to receive the group rates.

• ADDITIONAL LODGING: An overflow hotel room block is now available at the Hampton Inn & Suites Orange Beach from 7/16-7/20. Reservations must be made by June 16 to receive the group rates.

Registration

The 2025 ASCE/APWA Alabama Summer Meeting returns to Orange Beach with a new location at the Event Center at The Wharf!  The conference will open with lunch on Thursday and end on Saturday at lunch.

This year, we are moving registration to a new platform called Eventify. As we get closer to the conference, we will also send additional information on how to download and access the event using the Eventify app with your registration.

We have made some additional changes to the sponsor and exhibitor packages along with social activities to ensure everyone has a great time interacting with the exhibitors and attendees from both organizations, including a new conference app that will be used during the conference to engage attendees.

Our conference averages a combined total of 200 people in attendance from both organizations, with attendees ranging from public employees working as engineering and public works officials at local municipalities and counties, to state employees, to private consultants, to every vendor in between. Call for Speakers – Closing Soon

If you are interested in sharing your knowledge, experience or vision with these professionals, we are still accepting speaker proposals for multiple sessions that will occur over the course of this 3-day event.

There are three easy steps to submitting your proposal:

Agenda

We are preparing another exciting program to cover a wide range of Civil Engineering and Public Works topics. We plan to cover these topics in two (2) concurrent tracks with multiple sessions over 3 days: Thursday afternoon (July 17), Friday morning (July 18) and Saturday morning (July 19).

Once the agenda is ready, it will be published on our new platform/app, Eventify, and on our website.

Thursday, July 17

The opening day will start with lunch in the Exhibit Hall. After lunch, we will start with a plenary session followed by a break. After the break, concurrent technical sessions will proceed until the end of the day.

On Thursday night, all conference attendees and their families are invited to return to the Exhibit Hall for an Opening Reception hosted by the Captain’s Circle sponsors and our exhibitors. The Opening Reception will include heavy hors d’oeuvres, cash bar, games, and more.

Friday, July 18

The second day will start with breakfast in the Exhibit Hall, followed by another plenary session that will last until the break. A morning break will be provided in the Exhibit Hall. After the break, concurrent technical sessions will resume until lunch.

Attendees are encouraged to engage with our exhibitors throughout the day, and be on the lookout for some possible offsite activities hosted by exhibitors later in the afternoon.

Friday afternoon, the ASCE Mobile Branch will host a Younger Member Track for area younger members and interested conference attendees. They will also join us Friday night for the “Port Royal Boil”.

On Friday night, all conference attendees and their families are invited to join the newly branded “Port Royal Boil” Gathering hosted by our sponsors. Building off of the success of last year, will will return with a seafood boil, a kids zone with activities, live entertainment and more. Bring your own beverages.

Saturday, July 19

The final day will start with a breakfast in the Exhibit Hall, followed by concurrent technical sessions through lunch. A morning break will be provided in the Exhibit Hall.

Conference attendees are asked to stay until lunch to get the most out of the technical sessions provided. A sack lunch will be provided to-go afterwards.

Younger Member Track

The ASCE Mobile Branch Younger Members Group is excited to again host the YM Track on the afternoon of Friday, July 18.

Based on it’s popularity over the last 3 years, this has become an exciting new addition to engage our local and visiting younger members at the conference. The intended audience is for professionals with less than 10 years of experience.

The conference hotel room block has been reserved at the SpringHill Suites Orange Beach at The Wharf, located immediately next to the Orange Beach Event Center at The Wharf where the conference will be held. A credit card and first night’s room and tax will be required to guarantee the reservation.
