2013 Alabama G-I Chapter Fall Seminar

Topic: Geophysics and SUE

October 24, 2013

9:00am to 4:00pm

Montgomery, AL

Geophysical methods and concepts play an ever-increasing role in geotechnical engineering. These methods are becoming important tools for both site characterization and subsurface utility engineering (SUE). Understanding some practical applications is very important for our industry; be it for determining liquefaction potential, shear wave velocities for dynamic loading, exploration for karst potential, or locating underground utilities for major SUE projects.
