The Alabama Section provides this webpage for information about the Dothan Branch. The Dothan Branch meets monthly on the first Wednesday at 12 noon. The meetings are held in a conference room at the Quality Inn on the Ross Clark Circle in Dothan, with a lunch buffet available.
The Dothan Branch has been averaging 16 members in attendance at its monthly meetings. There is a good cross-section of consulting, municipal and construction engineers in the Section. The next meeting is scheduled for 12:00 noon on Wednesday, November 15, 2006.
In July, the Dothan Branch sponsored Kaleb Kearly to attend Auburn University’s TIGERS engineering summer camp for 7th and 8th graders. The Branch anticipates sponsoring students for the engineering camp again in 2007.
Also, the Branch is in the process of setting guidelines for award of annual scholarships to students entering college in the field of civil engineering. The second annual scholarship benefit golf tournament will be held in the spring of 2007.

The Dothan Branch held its inaugural meeting on May 5, 2004, at the Highland Oaks Clubhouse Restaurant in Dothan. Twelve ASCE members or potential members were in attendance. The objectives and benefits of membership in the Dothan Branch of ASCE were discussed. A copy of the Dothan Branch By-laws was furnished to those in attendance. The frequency and location of meetings were discussed, with the majority of those in attendance favored the first Wednesday of each month at the Highland Oaks Restaurant. A nominating committee of Randy Tindell, Phillip Santora, and Brad Johnson was elected. The committee presented a slate of officer nominations at the June meeting.
The Dothan Branch next met on June 9, 2004, at the Highland Oaks Clubhouse Restaurant. Sixteen members or potential members were in attendance. The nominating committee presented its slate of officer nominees, who were elected by a unanimous vote at the September 2005 meeting.
