2009 Summer Meeting Wrap Up

The 2009 Alabama Section Summer Meeting was a great success. We had 180 attendees and 19 exhibitors at the event. A big thank you to those 19 exhibitors and the 12 sponsors that helped make the meeting possible.

We had an outstanding technical program, a Past-President of ASCE, Life Member recognition, and awarding of student scholarships.  To find out more of what you missed, check out the attached report or go to the News section of the Section website www.alabama-asce.org.  You can also go to the Event section to get a copy of the technical program.

Plans are already underway for next year. As soon as the date is finalized (at the beach in July, 2010), notice will be posted on the Section web-site and an e-mail will be sent to the Section e-mail list.

Summer Meeting Survey

There is a survey concerning the summer meeting on the front page of the Section website.  The Section Meeting Committee wants your input on planning future meetings. The current survey has to do with the meeting location.  Go to www.alabama-asce.org to complete the survey.

2010 Winter Meeting

The 2010 Winter Meeting will be in Huntsville February 3rd and 4th.  A registration form is available under Events on the website.  More information on program, etc. will be posted soon.
